I just wanted to say thank you for what you and your studio have done for me over the past 9 years. When I first joined Nancy’s when I was 14, I would have never thought I would have the courage to be teaching kids let alone still dancing. Your studio gave me an alternate route to help find who I am, and helped build the skill set and drive to get to the level I’m at today.
When I got the opportunity to coach after I left your studio, I definitely didn’t believe I was ready for that level considering I spent 6 years learning choreography and had no experience teaching routines. I took the risk and it turns out that teaching kids and seeing them click when they understand and complete a routine is one of the greatest feelings I never thought I would get the chance to have.
Over these 3 years, I believed I was getting a grasp with teaching with a goal to one day give back to the studio that gave me the ability to dance and grow to love it as a passion. I have the upmost respect for you and your studio and I wouldn’t want to represent a studio more than yours.
When I came to you in January, it was one of the most nerve-racking moments I’ve gone through. I honestly didn’t know if you believed I was at the level to be a part of your staff, let alone have a class to myself. I was so grateful that you gave me the opportunity to put together a routine with some of your students and had faith in me to make a routine that was presentable in your annual show.
From the years dancing in front of the mirror to now facing the students, it is surreal to see how much I continue to evolve and grow with each passing group I get to teach. Your studio taught me to always have fun but when you mix fun with dedication and hard work, anything is possible. So again, I would like to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to do what I believe is the achievement throughout my years as a dancer, teaching at your studio.
