Melissa has been dancing from the age of three with Nancy Pattison's Dance World. She enjoyed 2 years of the Encore Performing Arts Company and 3 years of the Essex County Dancers competition team. She has now been teaching for both these companies for the past 3 years. She has received scholarships with the Royal Winnipeg ballet and the Hope College ballet scholarships.

Melissa is currently attending the University of Windsor for Human Kinetics.
