I just wanted to say how amazing your studio has been for Rylan. I've really noticed a big change in his level of confidence. I truly wish we had made the change to your studio sooner. You have a lot to be proud of and I tell everyone about your studio. Rylan felt like a star and it seems that you make every dancer feel that way. Thanks so much for everything.
I just wanted to say thank you for what you and your studio have done for me over the past 9 years. When I first joined Nancy’s when I was 14, I would have never thought I would have the courage to be teaching kids let alone still dancing. Your studio gave me an alternate route to help find who I am, and helped build the skill set and drive to get to the level I’m at today.
When I got the opportunity to coach after I left your studio, I definitely didn’t believe I was ready for that level considering I spent 6 years learning choreography and had no experience teaching routines. I took the risk and it turns out that teaching kids and seeing them click when they understand and complete a routine is one of the greatest feelings I never thought I would get the chance to have.
Over these 3 years, I believed I was getting a grasp with teaching with a goal to one day give back to the studio that gave me the ability to dance and grow to love it as a passion. I have the upmost respect for you and your studio and I wouldn’t want to represent a studio more than yours.
When I came to you in January, it was one of the most nerve-racking moments I’ve gone through. I honestly didn’t know if you believed I was at the level to be a part of your staff, let alone have a class to myself. I was so grateful that you gave me the opportunity to put together a routine with some of your students and had faith in me to make a routine that was presentable in your annual show. From the years dancing in front of the mirror to now facing the students, it is surreal to see how much I continue to evolve and grow with each passing group I get to teach. Your studio taught me to always have fun but when you mix fun with dedication and hard work, anything is possible. So again, I would like to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to do what I believe is the achievement throughout my years as a dancer, teaching at your studio.
Hi Miss Cindy,
Let me begin by congratulating you on the amazing week of recitals. I hope you are able to take a moment to stop and embrace the pure joy that your family business brings to so many families. All of those cheering crowds, smiling tutu-clad dancers, and proud parents are a direct result of YOU! Your dedication to your studio, your ‘children’, your team, and your family’s sacrifices to the community – have a payout much bigger than you can even imagine. I really hope you take a moment to congratulate yourself for the huge positive impact you and your Mom have had on so many…Not many people are able to give in a lifetime, what NPDW gives on a daily basis. As a parent who is fortunate enough to be on the receiving end – my heartfelt and sincere thanks! The last year, and in particular, the last month, has put a fire in my dancing daughter as she continues to set new goals for herself as a dancer. Again, as a proud parent who has gained so much more than dancing from your studio – new friends, socialization for my daughter, a crowd of mentors for her that are beyond amazing, and this last year some amazing team moments (both on and off the stage) – that I will treasure forever. And don’t get me started on the Movement Improvement class! Hayden and I both view Emily as a hero and absolutely love her!
Before I embark on my new career I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support over the years. You are always thereto give advice and are willing to help in anyway you can. You have helped make the NPDW environment not only a family, but a place to call home.Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my talents with this dance family. I have not only learned to dance but have learned that life has ups & downs and dancing through them will always lead you in the right direction.
I can't begin to thank you for all the love and support you've shown me throughout the year. I appreciate the experiences, the lessons, and the opportunities I've received this year. I had the best year of my life being a teacher at NPDW and I can't wait for all the adventures awaiting me next year.I can't begin to thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to shine as a teacher. NPDW has given me a home away from home and you are my mother at this home. You make my world a brighter place by giving me more than just the gift of dance.
This year the teaching staff of NPDW dedicated our lyrical routine (To Build A Home) to Nancy and Cindy at recitals: 56 years ago, Nancy created a studio.
For the 18 people on stage, and the several others backstage, the studio has been more than a place to dance. Nancy, Cindy, Denise, and family have been there to celebrate our first recital, our first loose tooth, and our successes in school. They have also been there for us through our first heartbreak, our first losses, or when we were just so stressed that we needed a shoulder to cry on.
When school, home, or friends let us down, Nancy's was our refuge – our place to dance away our problems and seek comfort from the people we looked up to.For the 18 people on stage, and the 23 teachers in total, Nancy didn't just create a studio: She built us a home.
Over the past 15 years at Nancy Pattison's I've learned so much. Not just technique and the amazing dances that all of the teachers have come up and helped me with, but I've learned what it means to be part of a team. I've made many friends and established a community that I can call my family. Nancy Pattison's is and will always be my dance family.
You have helped me reach my goals by not only providing me with constructive feedback throughout the years, but you have helped my family pay for things such as exams. By helping me out this way, I not only strove to pass with excellent marks for myself, but for you as well. You, Cindy, are the definition of a teacher. Someone who wants to see their students succeed, meet their goals, and improve to become a better person inside and out. Every student at the studio can all say that they want to be just like you someday.
Dear Nancy and Cindy,
This note is just to let you know how much I appreciate everything you and your wonderful staff do for these girls. Penelope is part of this wonderful world of dance and she loves every minute! I just appreciate the hard work that you put into everything and the professionalism you show to your dancers.
I went to last night's dance recital and I have to tell you it's been the best one I've ever been to for the last five years! The children were very well rehearsed. The show was very organized and very professional. I just wanted to send my congratulations and appreciation for my parents point of view. Thanks,
